US President Donald Trump has said Boris Johnson is “going to be great” after the prime minister tested positive for coronavirus.

The Prime Minister revealed today that he is self-isolating in Downing Street after he developed a dry cough and temperature.

In remarks made at the White House, Trump revealed that pair spoke on the phone on Friday. The President said he was sure Boris would be “totally great” despite his diagnosis, and that he asked the US to provide ventilators to fight the pandemic.  "Before he even said hello he said, 'we need ventilators,'" Trump said.
