School holidays could be extended for two weeks as the UK grapples with the coronavirus crisis, it is claimed. Talks are reportedly being held to extend the Easter break by a week each side, with officials saying there is a "real logic" to the move.
If that happens, children will be out of schools for around a month. Supporters say it will keep youngsters safe from the killer disease, which has so far claimed 11 lives in the UK, and governments in Spain, France and Ireland have already closed schools because of the outbreak.
