The bereaved dad - who is played by actor Rob Mallard in the ITV soap - was best man for his nephew Adam Barlow at his wedding to Sarah Platt.
And while giving his best man’s speech, it was clear he was focusing on his late wife Sinead instead of anyone else - and certainly not his girlfriend Bethany Platt.
Viewers couldn’t help but notice Bethany becoming more and more uncomfortable as Daniel began reading out a love letter between an artist and his wife to Adam and Sarah.
