Police have launched a probe after a man was attacked on a Scots street in an unprovoked attack by a stranger clad in hi-vis clothing.

The victim was attacked in broad daylight in Coupar Angus, Perth and Kinross, on Wednesday. He was walking in the town's Commercial Street at around 12.20pm when he was approached by the stranger.The attacker then punched him in the head, before bombarding him with a tirade of verbal abuse and threats.He then walked off after the assault, which left the victim uninjured.
