TikTok video was sentenced 15 months behind bars at Truro Crown Court yesterday.The court heard that Elliott Carlile, 26, had been so controlling he even took away the victim’s birth control pills.Carlile of Porth near Newquay appeared at Truro Crown Court for sentencing having pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm.Prosecutor Katie Churcher told the court that the victim had been working as a model when they met but he forced her to give up the career, as well as trying to cut her off from her friends and family.Ms Churcher also described how Carlile would even force the victim accompany him to work and sit outside in the car for hours on end whilst he was there.
He controlled the clothes she wore and what she was able to do.The two separated at one point but got back together when Carlile threatened to kill himself, reports Cornwall Live.The court heard how in May 2020, Carlile had become angry over a TikTok video and subjected his partner to two hours of abuse.Carlile put his hands around the victim’s neck and shook her, Ms Carlisle said.
He also elbowed her to the collar bone, dragged her by the hair, and hit her all over the body.Carlile then took a break when he drove off and hinted at inflicting harm to himself and the baby before he returned and continued the assault as the victim held the child.He again dragged her by the hair before kneeing her to the face as he continued to make threats.The victim was saved when her mother arrived and attended hospital two days later where she claimed she sustained the injuries after being hit by a horse.A victim impact statement read to the court told how Carlile decided he wanted a child and hid his partner's birth control pills.
