Nine out of the 10 boroughs in the region have agreed to create a new joint masterplan for housing, jobs and the environment for decades to come.
It follows Stockport council's decision to pull out of the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework (GMSF) at the eleventh hour back in December 2020 – a decision which a senior Salford councillor said 'lacks common sense'.
