Dog owners warned after claims of 'poison left on pet food' in Salford park

Claims of dog food laced with rat poison found in Winton Park, Eccles were made on social media on Bank Holiday Monday. Salford City Council say they are ware of the rumours and have advised residents to keep a close eye on their pets when walking through the park.

The council also say that no animal has been harmed and the neighbourhood police team have been made aware of the claims. Several posts were made on Facebook warning residents about the alleged poison found on the park.
