Hapless former Tory minister Chris Grayling is expected to return to front-line politics as chairman of a prestigious Parliamentary committee.
The Cabinet minister finally left the government in summer 2019 (at his own request, we should add) after nine years littered with failure, incompetence and catastrophe.
But even leaving office didn't end the accumulation of foul-ups to his name - the most recent being the Court of Appeal overturning his decision to back a third runway at Heathrow Airport.
Now he's in line for the top job on Parliament's Intelligence and Security Committee - a highly desirable role usually doled out as a reward for long and competent service to the Government.
