Chipper Club: How to create your own animal prints

It’s half term and time for the kids to get creative. The Chipper Club, created between the wars to entertain kids and now reinvented for a generation of children in lockdown, has been setting weekly challenges for youngsters to show off their creative skills.

This week’s challenge is to make an animal collage using a cardboard box, old newspapers and magazines and anything else you can find and reuse around the house.

Start with a piece of card, or the side of a cardboard box - it will hold up better when you start glueing things on it. Dig out some old newspapers and magazines and cut them into little pieces.

You can choose colourful pictures or black and white writing - both can make lovely collage art. You could cover your whole piece
