China Video Giant Kuaishou Files for IPO in Hong Kong

variety.comPatrick Frater Asia Bureau ChiefChina’s Kuaishou, one of the world’s most popular video sharing and live streaming apps, has filed for a share listing in Hong Kong.The company which is a direct rival to the Bytedance-owned Douyin and TikTok, claims 776 million monthly active users, in a regulatory filing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The company also boasted an average daily user base of 301 million in the first six months of this year.The redacted 733-page prospectus does not give precise detail about valuation, how much it expects to raise or the timetable for the listing.
