Chelsea fans have joked they will become the new 'Moneyball' film with Todd Boehly demonstrating his love for a data-driven approach in an old interview.

Boehly's consortium are set to be named as the preferred bidders for the Blues, according to reports. The development prompted the clip to spread amongst the club's fanbase.

The LA Dodgers part-owner said: "We’re spending a lot of time talking about the team as a portfolio.
