Black Panther star on Thursday became the first person to earn four film nominations at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in the same year, Variety reports.
Boseman at the 2021 SAG Awards was posthumously nominated for his lead performance in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, as well as separately for his supporting performance in Da 5 Bloods.
Additionally, he earned nods as part of the ensemble for the two movies, which were each nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Motion Picture.
Jamie Foxx and Maggie Smith previously earned four SAG nominations in a year, but in those cases, the nominations were in both the film and TV categories, the Los Angeles Times notes.
