CAUGHT: Crooks swipe goods worth £4k after smashing through roof of Paisley shop

This is the moment two thieves ransacked a Paisley shop after smashing their way in through the ceiling. The callous pair nicked cash, phone cards and cigarettes worth nearly £4,000 during the raid on the U-Save store in Well Street.

Devastated shop owner Mr Khan said he has been left counting the cost of the break-in as he revealed he is now paranoid to leave at night.

The suspects first broke in at around 9.25pm on Sunday night before returning for more loot at around 3.25am.It’s the second time in two and half years crooks have used the derelict flat above to break into the shop.The convenience store was first targeted in January 2018 and just six months later it was flooded when crooks tried to steal copper piping from the empty flat
