Carse of Gowrie residents have praised the “amazing” community response from individuals and businesses to coronavirus restrictions.When social distancing was announced, a community larder was set up at the Maddoch Centre in St Madoes and older people who needed to self-isolate were quickly identified and provided for.Anthea Bircham, community development co-ordinator at the Madoch Centre, said: “Some volunteers kindly cleared our storage container at the Maddoch Centre and thanks to the generosity of local folk, it was fully stocked and open by Friday, March 20.“Our local councillors produced and organised delivery of a leaflet to every house in the Carse.
