Carriageway resurfacing works to take place in Whalley Range this week

Whalley Range will be relaid from Tuesday (August 12). The work is expected to be finished on Monday, August 24.The work will start at the Alexander Road South entrance and end near Demesne Road.Resurfacing between Edith Avenue and Burdith Avenue will start on Thursday (August 13).The work is expected to be done a week later on Thursday, August 20.Engineers will be on site between 7am and 5pm on weekdays.The roads will be closed during certain time periods to allow for resurfacing to take place.“In order to undertake the works we will need to close the roads when the existing surface is being removed and when the new surface is being laid,” Manchester council said in a letter.“Whilst the ironwork is being renewed and / or adjusted the roads.
