Shocking footage shared online shows the vehicle jutting out of the takeaway with police and fire crews on the scene. It is understood no one was injured in the incident.Cops are continuing to probe the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesman told the Record: "We received a report of a vehicle having been driven into a takeaway restaurant at The Murray Square in East Kilbride around 11.40pm on Thursday, January 28. "The vehicle subsequently caught fire and was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue.
