Christmas is almost here and supermarket delivery slots have already being snapped up at most major supermarkets. Various chains are advising customers to share them with people who need them more.
Food delivery slots for key festive dates - including Christmas Eve - have already sold out at Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda. Tesco is urging people to shop in store if possible to free up delivery slots.
A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “There is unprecedented demand for online grocery shopping this year and, since the start of the coronavirus outbreak, we have more than doubled our online capacity to around 1.5 million slots a week.
