A murder probe has been opened after a 29-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Stoke. The victim was found with knife wounds at a home yesterday afternoon, and died in hospital from her injuries.
Neighbours reported that the woman fled on to the street after a disturbance at a house in Leigh Street, Burslem, at around 4.45pm.
A man, 39, is today being quizzed on suspicion of her murder. A crime scene is in place and officers are now working to establish the woman's identity and notify her next of kin.
