Five British MPs escaped death after an Iranian diplomat allegedly smuggled a 'Mother of Satan' bomb on a flight only for the terror plot to be foiled.
Assadollah Assadi, 48, who goes on trial later today, is accused of concealing the device in a diplomatic bag that was exempt from airport security searches, according to court papers.
Conservative MPs Bob Blackman, Matthew Offord, Sir David Amess and Theresa Villiers, as well as Labour's Roger Godsiff were booked on the Austrian Airlines flight from Tehran to Vienna.
They were part of a 35-strong British delegation at a rally in Paris in 2018, with other guests including US President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani and leading US politician Newt Gingrich.
