David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English former professional footballer, the current president of Inter Miami CF and co-owner of Salford City. He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, for which he held the appearance record for an outfield player until 2016. He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. He retired in May 2013 after a 20-year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

This Saturday, May 2 , BT Sport are dedicating three hours of programming in celebration of David Beckham's 45th birthday.

Among the schedule is a host of classic European nights from the Sir Alex Ferguson era, including - of course - that unforgettable night at the Nou Camp in 1999.

The day gets underway from 4pm on BT Sport 1 starting with the first of two 3-3 draws against Barcelona from the 98/99 Champions League winning season.

Beckham bagged United's third goal on the night with a trademark free-kick. Just a few short months later, the two teams were back at it with another classic tit-for-tat encounter.
