Brits went out to enjoy their Saturday night yesterday after lockdown ended earlier this week. Bars and restaurants across England looked busy, as people had meals and drinks with their friends and families.
Streets and shops were packed too on the first non-working day since the end of lockdown. England is now under a three-tier system of coronavirus restrictions, with most regions facing either Tier 2 or Tier 3 measures.
Under Tier 2 rules, hospitality businesses are allowed to open to customers but can only serve alcohol if it is part of a substantial meal.
