A report on Russia's attempts to influence Britain's politics will be published within days. MPs on the Commons's Intelligence and Security committee unanimously agreed on Thursday it would publish the report on Russian influence before the chamber rises for the summer recess.
That is early next week. In a statement the Committee said: "The Committee has unanimously agreed this morning that it will publish the Report on Russia prepared by its predecessor before the house rises for the summer recess." The report was completed eight months ago.
It came as new chairman of Parliament's Intelligence and Security Committee has condemned Downing Street's attempt to impose its "preferred candidate" to lead the committee.
