Boris Johnson has urged people across the country to join in a national clap for Captain Sir Tom Moore at 6pm today after his coronavirus press conference.The prime minister told the House of Commons the heroic 100-year-old had 'dedicated his life to serving others', and encouraged 'everyone to take part in tonight's tribute'.He said: "We all now have the opportunity to show our appreciation for him and all that he stood for and believed in."That is why I encourage everyone to join in a national clap for Captain Tom and all those health workers for whom he raised money at 6pm this evening."Tonight's clap will also pay tribute the NHS workers battling on the frontline amid the pandemic.Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle also paid an emotional tribute.
