Powerful Tory MPs blasted Boris Johnson tonight for using “tricks” and “games” to avoid a crunch vote on genocide. Ex-leader Iain Duncan Smith was furious after the Prime Minister “deliberately blocked” a showdown with rebels.

Conservative backbenchers had been fighting for a change to the Trade Bill, which would rip up any trade deals with countries the High Court has formally accused of genocide.
