Boris Johnson has rejected demands to extend the furlough scheme now and told Brits to wait three weeks instead. The Prime Minister said it was too early to say if the end of the job retention scheme will be delayed beyond April 30.
He also refused to say if business rates relief for stricken firms will be extended beyond April. Instead, grilled by Labour at PMQs, the Tory leader said answers would come in the Budget on March 3.
But he also refused to say if the ban on many residential evictions will be extended - despite the fact it's due to end on February 21.
Labour leader Keir Starmer demanded the PM extend furlough, business rate relief and VAT cuts for hospitality to save firms.
