Boris Johnson's spokesman has said he is not sure what the word "woke" means, despite the government declaring war on "woke worthies" and introducing a law to stop them.
The Tory government stepped up its 'culture war' on Sunday by announcing new laws to ensure statues and plaques cannot be removed without planning permission and consultation.
