Boris Johnson was heckled with cries of “traitor” as he finally visited a community hit by floods. The visit comes after three weeks of flooding as Storms Dennis, Ciara and Jorge devastated towns across the country.
The PM paid a quiet visit to Bewdley which straddles the River Severn in Worcestershire and has been overwhelmed by flooding in recent weeks.
Floodwater poured over the top of temporary defences along the river, leaving homes and businesses underwater. Mr Johnson was taken to view the still-erected flood defences by Environment Agency staff.
