A Boohoo supplier is accused of paying sweatshop workers making clothes for the brand just 29p an hour. The popular fast fashion label is under fire again following an investigation into the treatment of workers in Pakistan.
A probe by the Guardian has found workers at Faisalabad claim to have been being paid the equivalent of £47 a month. In response, Boohoo has said its own probe on the ground found one of its suppliers was allegedly sub-contracting to factory it had not declared to the brand, adding it had not used a second supplier in the labour abuse claims since July 2019.
