bodybuilder whose grisly injury video went viral after he tore his muscle from his bone has opened up about developing pus-filled cysts and suggested it is the worst pain he has ever felt.Ryan Crowley suffered a horrific weightlifting injury last year while attempting to bench press 220kg.
In a shocking video that was shared with millions worldwide, the Hampshire-born lad could be seen exerting his muscles to the max when his pectoral muscle popped, and jutted out from his chest.READ MORE: Bodybuilder's pec muscle torn from bone during 220kg bench press in gruesome videoThe bodybuilder was left writhing in agony on the floor, and months later he spoke to the Generation Iron Fitness & Bodybuilding Network, where he spoke about his difficult recovery process.“I’ve been through a lot in my life, and this is the worst thing I’ve ever felt,” he admitted.Having been bodybuilding since he was 16, Ryan suggested that he was even struggling to come to terms with the injury and was consulting a psychologist over his fears to push his body to the max once more. “Now I just really struggle to even train my legs hard, I put a bit of weight on there and as soon as I start coming down I’m just so scared,” he explained.And, the 24 year-old claimed that hadn’t been helped by gruesome complications with his chest during his recovery.“Along this process, we’ve had these horrible cysts keep coming up… I keep having these horrible lumps come up under the wound,” he said.“They have to cut them open and they drain the fluid out, stitch it up, and this is the seventh time I’ve had it since the injury.
I feel like every week I’m in the hospital.”During the interview, Ryan explained that he had not been pushing himself too hard, as he had lifted.
