Black Friday shoppers queued in Wales as non-essential stores were shut across England due to the Covid-19 national lockdown.
Pictures show dozens of mask-wearing customers waiting outside a Primary in Cardiff before it threw open its doors on Friday morning, just weeks after restrictions were eased following a "firebreak" lockdown.
While those shoppers were out looking for bargains, shopping centres and high streets in England were eerily quiet in the morning on a day when they are normally filled with crowds taking advantage of steep discounts.
Police in Wales are on patrol to catch out any visitors from locked-down England. South Wales Police said it will be on the lookout for shoppers breaching coronavirus rules.
