The Good Morning Britain star greeted Steve, Andrea, Patrick and Kay onto the show, but viewers were distracted by Ben's "tired" appearance.
Andrea managed to answer two out of three questions correctly but the machine refused to work in her favour. Patrick’s enthusiasm backfired and after answered two questions incorrectly, he finished the round with just £50.
As Andrea was eliminated from the first round of the competition, viewers began to share their concerns for host Ben on social media.
