Ben Shephard has apparently taken a sly swipe at his former co-star Piers Morgan on Friday's Good Morning Britain, making a joke about his unexpected exit from the show.Talking to guest Iain Dale, he suggested he didn't want to quiz him about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, worried the political commentator might suddenly leave the show.Apparently referring to Piers' exit, he said: "We don’t want you to leave - we’ve had enough of that this week."Ben is tipped to be the frontrunner as Piers' replacement, with the broadcaster's exit leaving a presenting slot open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
On Tuesday, the 55-year-old confirmed he was leaving GMB after five years, amid an Ofcom investigation into his coverage of Oprah.
