Here’s some news you may not have been expecting: Ben Affleck is officially returning as Batman in the DC Universe!

Specifically, the 48-year-old actor will portray the Dark Knight in the upcoming The Flash movie, which will also feature past Batman Michael Keaton as another Batman in the movie!

Deadline reports that Ben‘s role in the film is a cameo, but Michael‘s is apparently “substantial.” More information is developing on this story, so stay tuned as we learn more! Ben seemed to reveal the reason why he actually stepped away from the role of Batman as Robert Pattinson was chosen to succeed him.

The Flash movie will star Ezra Miller and will be released in June of 2022. Details have been largely kept under wraps.
