Holidaymakers returning from Belgium may soon have to quarantine after a rise in cases across the country. The government are said to be finalising plans to add the popular holiday destination to the 'red list' amid fears of a second wave in Europe.
Ministers are expected to approve the change at either midnight tonight or tomorrow, meaning holidaymakers already abroad would have to self-isolate on return, reports the Daily Mail.
It follows Spain being added to the list on July 25, in a blow for thousands of Brits already abroad, and Luxembourg, which was added last week The decision is set to cause problems for the thousands that travel each day between Brussels and London on the Eurostar.
