The Apprentice have admitted that they have been left gutted by the lack of admirers. Lord Sugar's Class of 2022 were dubbed "The Love Island generation" as many of the women's Instagram accounts were full of snaps of them in swimwear.

However, unlike the popular dating series, there has been no romance on the BBC One show for the girls. And it seems no fans fancied them either. The contestants have confessed that they felt a bit gutted by the lack of attention during their stint on the reality TV show, which sees the candidates competing for Lord Sugar's mentorship and a £250,000 prize.Semi-finalist Stephanie Affleck said it was a "tumbleweed" situation and that she had thought there would have been a lot more interest."We all thought we would have loads of messages but it is like tumbleweed," she said."We thought we would be inundated with offers of dates.

I thought I wouldn't be able to keep up with all the messages."But sadly no one quite that desirable has slid into my DMs."Her co-star Brittany Carter said she had imagined that plenty of people would have reached out once they saw her on the show, but that so far her Mr Right wasn't on the horizon either. She said: "Oh my God, all I get is messages from people with zero followers and zero photos."And when I did get a message it was from someone who had pictures of trees!"I thought I would get so many rich and famous people contacting me but so far there have been no eligible bachelors yet."There was more bad news for Stephanie and Brittany as both were fired from the contest by the business magnate last week.Just two candidates now remain in the competition and will fight it out in the final on Thursday on BBC One at 9pm.Harpreet Kaur, who has her own dessert business.
