The island’s Prime Minister Mia Mottley is considering a “Barbados Welcome Stamp” which would allow international arrivals to work from the pristine beaches for up to a year.She proposed the scheme after tourism chiefs warned the pandemic could devastate the holiday sector – which employs an estimated 30% of its workforce.Mottley offering the option of a year-long stay as Barbados prepared to open its borders to international visitors again.The government claims its offer could allow office workers to immerse themselves in the island’s Bajan.
