Ashley Banjo has shockingly revealed the extent of the abuse he received following Diversity's Black Lives Matter-inspired dance routine on Britain's Got Talent.
The dancer, 32, and his crew shared a powerful routine which acted out George Floyd's death at the hands of US police on the ITV show in September despite being warned against the performance by his dad.
The dance star told The Sunday Times how his dad was worried he'd be risking his career by carrying out the performance but admitted it was something he had to do.
He said: "We had millions of eyes on us. I wanted to portray what was going on in the world. Afterwards, I got around one hundred abusive tweets in a minute. "We learnt that it's OK to tell stories about climate change
