Asda adds new security measures and virtual queuing to stores ahead of Christmas

Asda has announced a change to the running of their stores which may affect customers ahead of Christmas. The supermarket giant will be adding extra security staff on the doors of its 421 large superstores between December 19 and 24.The extra safety procedures are being implemented to “protect colleagues and customers during the busy Christmas shopping period”.Extra security staff will join the current Asda safety marshals – who currently control how many people are allowed to enter and ensure those not exempt are wearing masks – at the doors of each big shop.
