Armed men held a van driver at knifepoint before stealing his vehicle while he waited at a junction in broad daylight. The white transit van was stationary at the junction of Upton Lane and Manchester Road, in Tyldesley, Wigan, when he was targeted on Saturday afternoon.
At about 4.30pm, a man approached the van and used a knife to demand the driver hand it over. He and another man then climbed into the van and fled the scene.
Police later discovered the vehicle intact on Bracken Road in Leigh. The first offender is described as white, aged 30-32 with blue eyes, medium length blond hair and a short blond beard.
