Another Ayrshire council will start charging for electric car power

North Ayrshire as the roll-out of them starts to speed up.The council has announced it will begin charging money to use the vehicle power supply within the next year.It wants to install a public charge point for every nine plug in vehicles by December 2025 in the area.The electricity cost last year alone was £20,345, with public charger usage adding up to £18,144 and council fleet vehicles amounting to £2,201.Councillors approved the council’s electric vehicle strategy up to 2025 at a cabinet meeting recently.
