Officers had been patrolling the Manchester area at around 4.30am this morning (June 15), when they spotted a car which was believed to be stolen.
A chase began and a short time later, a black Volkswagen Tiguan was found to have collided with a property on Harrop Street.
The driver of the car, a 43 year-old man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries following the smash. He has been arrested on suspicion of disqualified driving, dangerous driving and theft of a motor vehicle.
