Anne Hegerty has said that she will be "p***** off" if The Chase replace her with someone who "looks like they could be on Love Island."This comes after her fellow original chaser Mark Labbett appeared at the Oxford Students Union and told the debating society that chiefs had been looking for some new quizzers.Anne was fuming that producers were interviewing youngsters to take on the job.READ MORE: The Chase's Paul Sinha forced to intervene with killer offer as he fumes at 'treachery' She seethed: “They have tried out a few 20-year-olds for The Chase as quizzers. “I would be more than p***ed off if I was replaced, as she would not be as good as me.“Nobody is about to replace me.”Mark explained to the Oxford student union that producers are looking for someone who can “play like Anne or Jenny (Ryan) and looks like she can be on Love Island”.
In an interview with The Express Anne recently revealed that the more chasers there are the less they get paid. She explained: “If they introduce one, I mean, we won’t get told.“It will kind of be sprung on us.
I guess we’ll just have to put up with it.”It does look like Anne is exploring other avenues as she's hoping her brand new sitcom will get picked up by television bosses as she opens up on new project away from the ITV quiz showSpeaking to Daily Star at the National TV Awards last week about the project, Anne said: "The sitcom hasn’t actually been green lit yet."We're hoping for someone to pick it up.
