Prince Harry
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, KCVO ADC (Henry Charles Albert David;15 September 1984) is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales and is sixth in the line of succession to the British throne. Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Amey to carry out A77 roadworks worth almost £500,000

Roadworks worth almost £500,000 are set to benefit drivers in South Ayrshire.Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are to undertake essential maintenance on the A77 from Ballantrae to Bennane at Lendalfoot.It's estimated the work will directly aid more than 3,700 motors which use the road each day.Teams will be on site between 7am-6pm from Monday, October 24 to Friday, October 28, and then Monday, October 31 until Wednesday, November 2 using a convoy system.The scheme, with a value of £484,895, aims to improve the condition of the carriageway and reduce the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.There is no planned diversion for the route and access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained.Don't miss the latest Ayrshire headlines –sign up to our free daily newsletter here
