A man and woman have been arrested and charged after police uncovered £20,000 worth of drugs from a Scots flat. Officers descended onto the property with a warrant to raid the premises on Whimbrel Wynd in Renfrew, Renfrewshire at 10am on Thursday October 20.
During the bust, police also recovered a five-figure sum of cash and a significant amount of high-value jewellery. Police Scotland confirmed a 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with the find.
The pair appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court today. A report has also been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. PC Young, Renfrewshire Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit said: “We are committed to tackling the s upply of drugs in our community and would appeal to the public to contact police via 101 if they have any information or concerns about drug supply.
