dailystar.co.ukAn Amazon warehouse worker has tested positive for coronavirus, the online retail giant has confirmed. Its staff are now among a growing number of delivery and warehouse workers across the globe demanding better pay and protections in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Amazon says it has told staff about this latest confirmed case, believed to be one of around a dozen in the US, and new protective measures are in place.
It is believed the infected individual is now self-isolating at home for a period of 14 days. In a statement to Indy-Star today, the Seattle-based company confirmed a member of its warehouse in Indiana, US, tested positive for the pandemic-causing disease earlier this month.
