There are now nine cases of coronavirus in Greater Manchester, it has been confirmed. The latest person to test positive is in Oldham.
The patient, who had recently returned from northern Italy, was one of 32 national cases to be confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier in the day, three people in Trafford were revealed to have contracted the disease. They had all travelled to northern Italy where the virus is more widespread.
A patient at Wythenshawe Hospital, who is from Stockport, also returned a positive test for the COVID-19 virus. It is not yet clear where the patient contracted the illness.
