Aldi to use Glastonbury-style queuing system to sell in-demand Kevin the Carrot toys

Aldi stores soon. Kevin the Carrot toys, as well as other characters from the Christmas advert, will be available through Aldi’s website and Deliveroo from Sunday, November 15.Last year the supermarket released the toys to unprecedented demand – and they quickly sold out.

Customers were understandably left disappointed, but this year Aldi, which was named the cheapest supermarket in the UK last month, is prepared.

The supermarket is expecting such a high demand it is adding an advanced queuing software to the website.The digital queuing system is also used to manage websites like See Tickets to cope with the demand for the Glastonbury festival.The toys will be released as part of Aldi’s Special Buy range – which means supply will be.
