People under 30-years-old in the UK will now be offered an alternative vaccine to the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab after the medicines regulator said there was a possible link between the jab and rare blood clots.
England's deputy chief medical officer Jonathan Van-Tam told a press briefing today that this was a "change of course" in the UK's vaccine roll-out but that it was "quite normal for physicians to alter their preferences on how people are treated".
