Adventurer takes on Romanian ultra race challenge for Maggie's Lanarkshire

dailyrecord.co.ukiOS - Android The 59-year-old, from Carmunnock, has been training in the mountains closer to home to prepare for the challenge, which sees him collecting funds for Maggie’s Lanarkshire and adding to the total of more than £75,000 which he has already raised for the centre.
He has previously completed the Marathon des Sables, running five and a half marathons in six days across the Sahara desert, plus six marathons in a week in the Grand Canyon and the 85-hour non-stop Tahoe 205-mile race; as well as three Ironman triathlons, each involving a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile cycle and 26.2-mile marathon.
