Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.
The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.

The Sun reported that yesterday a source revealed Adele was due to perform at the event and has now pulled the plug on her appearance, meaning the bosses of The Brits have had a "big blow".Speaking to the publication, the source revealed that the bosses are apparently in talks with her team to see if she can make a cameo via video-link.
They also said that that bosses are willing to do whatever in order for her to accept a cameo appearance: "It’s a massive headache but they want her involved in any way she will agree."If Adele wins any Brit awards, which is highly likely considering her album dropped last year, somebody will need to accept the awards in her place, proving another headache for bosses.With "several big names already saying no" it has been said that the likes of Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa collecting awards for the star are highly unlikely.
